As a start, I would like to ask you to try to use “I choose to” instead of “I have to” or “I need to” for a day. If you are getting on well, please continue for a week and notice if you find any changes in your mood. So, instead of saying “I have to do the dishes”, try to say “I choose to do the dishes because it feels good to have a tidy kitchen”.
